"I was honestly terrified to go alone, but the group training changed everything. By the time I started teaching, I had a supportive crew around me — people to plan lessons with, settle in together, and travel on weekends. It made the move feel possible."

"I had zero teaching experience, but the online course gave me the confidence I needed. Once in Thailand, the in-country team really made the difference, helping with my bank account, SIM card, and rental agreement so I could focus on teaching and enjoying the chaos and fun."

"Living in a smaller Thai town was the best decision. The locals were incredibly welcoming, the cost of living was super low, and I saved way more money than I expected. It wasn't just a holiday; it felt like my real life."

Thailand Internship FAQs

Common questions about visas, eligibility, and life in the Land of Smiles.

How much can I expect to earn?
+
Teachers in Thailand typically earn between 30,000 and 40,000 Thai Baht per month. Due to the low cost of living, this allows for a very comfortable lifestyle and travel opportunities.
Which nationalities are eligible?
+
You must hold a passport from one of the following countries: USA, UK, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, or New Zealand. If you do not hold one of these passports, please contact us for other options.
Is accommodation included?
+
Accommodation (twin occupancy) is included for the duration of the Orientation in Hua Hin. After placement, our team helps you find your own housing, which is not included but very affordable.
Do I need a criminal background check?
+
Yes. You must have a clean criminal background check. It will need to be notarized and legalized before you arrive in Thailand for visa processing.
How much money should I bring?
+
We recommend bringing at least $1,500 USD. This covers your personal expenses during orientation and the first month of teaching before you receive your first paycheck.
Do I need a medical check?
+
Yes, a basic medical check from your home country is necessary for the visa process.
Do I need a university degree?
+
Yes. A Bachelor's degree or higher is strictly required by the Thai government to issue a teacher's license and work visa.
What kind of visa will I get?
+
Full visa support is provided. You will typically enter Thailand on a Non-Immigrant B visa (we assist with the paperwork) which allows you to work legally.
Where will my job placement be?
+
Placements are nationwide! Locations include Bangkok, Lamphang, Ayutthaya, Hua Hin, Korat, Trang, and cities in the Isan province like Buriram and Sakhon Nakhon.
Can I bring my pet?
+
Bringing pets is strongly discouraged. The logistics and costs are very high, and finding pet-friendly accommodation in Thailand is significantly more difficult.
How long is the contract?
+
The standard placement is 1 year (two school semesters). However, shorter contracts of 3 or 6 months may be available upon request.
Is medical insurance included?
+
No, medical insurance is not included. You should arrive with proof of travel insurance.
